10.3 Curtailment
The Curtailment settings determine how the EMS limits PV production when energy prices or network constraints require it:
Contractparameters – define consumption and injection scaling factors, fixed costs (consumption and distribution), injection costs and net costs. A table summarises the resulting consumption and injection contract values
Strategy – explains how the EMS decides between full production and curtailment based on whether injection and consumption prices are positive or negative. For example, when the injection price is positive the PV can produce at full capacity; when both injection and consumption prices are negative the PV is turned off and the battery charges.
Logging – 15‑minute table showing the EPEX spot price and resulting injection and consumption prices for each time slot. This log helps analyse curtailment decisions.
